CAREERS Lawyer Opportunities Articling Student Program Support Staff Opportunities ARTICLING STUDENT PROGRAM McDougall Gauley LLP typically hires four articling students per year; two of whom are located in our Saskatoon Office and two in Regina. The structure of the Articling Program ensures that our students are each assigned a Principal, whose primary role is to oversee the allocation of assignments and ensure that the student has completed work in all of the required areas of practice. The students receive their assignments from a variety of lawyers in the firm, with the objective being a well-rounded set of articles. Frequently we are able to provide students with an exchange whereby our students are given the opportunity to spend a month at the Department of Justice. This has proven mutually beneficial in that our students get a taste of Government law, while their peers receive private practice experience. We believe it is critical to a successful law career that our lawyers and students have a balanced lifestyle. Articling students are encouraged to participate in the firm's formal and informal social functions as well as the events hosted by the local bar associations. At McDougall Gauley LLP we strive to provide our students with excellent articles.
